This year we Bennetts enjoyed an unprecented 4th of July celebration! We’ve never had a July 4th like it before – it was a special day that will be long remembered! To kick it off, the weekend before the fourth of July, Jonathan, Matthew and Daniel participated in a 5K Terrain Race with some guys…

Memorial Day… and more!
We in the Bennett household are full throttle into patriotic season! We’ve done a few concerts, and are preparing for more to come. But besides music, we’ve done a few other things within the past couple weeks… Dad was asked to present a two-hour workshop on the Constitution of the United States. He gave an…
Trip to San Antonio!
What a treasure trove of memories we collected this November! We drove down to San Antonio for Daniel’s graduation from Air Force Basic Military Training. We enjoyed seeing some new states, like Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. We found a really neat waterfall & old gristmill along the way and had fun exploring it. Welcome to…
We’re Patriots
We’re Patriots. No, we’re not part of the NFL team, the Patriots. We’re not even die-hard Patriots fans. This week we recognized Patriot Day on September 11th. A Tribute to America
We presented our annual Tribute to America concert at Elim Park in Cheshire on July 8th – there was a great turnout, and we enjoyed sharing with the folks that came! A friend of ours took pictures for us. 🙂 Presentation of the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and the Bible at the beginning of…
A New Voter in Town!
On the afternoon of his eighteenth birthday, Daniel took a trip to Town Hall to register to vote. We were all excited for him, though it’s hard to believe that he is now actually old enough to vote! Filling out the registration form! We enjoy working with our local Registrars of Voters each election season….
Independence Day
We have a tremendous heritage as American citizens, but unfortunately not many people take time to think about it. For the past six years our family has organized a public reading of the Declaration of Independence in our town on July 4th. In addition, we try to have something different each year about specific signers…
Memorial Day
Each year for the past 10+ years we have participated in our town’s Memorial Day parade. This year one of the themes was the 100th anniversary of the United States’ involvement in World War I. Kathryn painted a simple representation of WWI soldiers to remember and honor those who served their country in that time….
