We headed down south on our annual trip to Florida, and this year, we had a new stop in Ellijay, Georgia. Dad recently reconnected with a man who went to church with him when they were both in their teens and twenties, and when he learned about our music ministry, he invited us to play at his church in Georgia where he serves as the music minister. We left home at night, and travelled 18 hours, arriving in Georgia around 2:30 pm… giving us just enough time to set up and freshen up before dinner and our concert. This was our first time in Georgia (other than brief stops in the past to stretch our legs), and it was enjoyable! The folks were friendly, the area was beautiful, and we were blessed to be able to minister there!

Couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the steeple against the clear, deep blue evening sky!

When we left Ellijay the following morning, we met our friend, Pam at a lovely park south of Atlanta. It was good to see her again and spend time together.
There was a waterfall at the park – the sound of rushing water sounded very refreshing on a warm Georgia day!
The view as we travelled through the mountains in Georgia was simply wonderful!
