It’s berry season! We love watching the ruby colored sweet treats grow on our strawberry plants and we love eating them even more. Strawberry shortcake, here we come!
Our latest big adventure, besides successfully growing strawberries, was navigating the train system with Lydia as she traveled down to Virginia to join James and Julianna at a homeschool convention. She assisted James with his photography team, covering the event and filling in gaps as needed. On her way down, she saw lots of scenery, the New York skyline (still hazy with the wildfire smoke drifting down from Canada) and the cutest little train station in Ashland, Virginia. James and Julianna met her at her destination and they enjoyed the weekend together. One of the highlights for them was hearing Kirk Cameron speak live. He challenged each one listening to be brave and “slay the dragons” of moral impurity and anger “within themselves through the power of Christ,” and then go out and make an impact on the world. He also read his newest children’s book, just released on June 1st: “Pride Comes Before A Fall.”
We are gearing up for our patriotic season just around the corner, practicing for our Tribute to America concert and our Declaration Celebration on the Cheshire Green. If you are able, we’d love to see you there in person!
