August has been a busy month – from singing at revival services as a family, to a few of the girls helping at a local church’s VBS, to Lydia’s week as camp photographer in MA, planning ahead to upcoming concerts and the Christmas season… the list goes on and on. We kept ourselves pretty busy!
But this past weekend, we sisters spent time together working in the garden and around the house, weeding and tidying up! It was very satisfactory, and the best part was doing it together.
Carolyn headed up the project
Julianna weeded this whole area
Susanna helped Carolyn near the main garden area.
Lydia did help too, but she took some time to take pictures 🙂 Just pretend that these are her hands….
And Elizabeth was busy inside, preparing supper which we all appreciated very much!
This little guy and a bunch of his friends were buzzing around too.
The variety of flowers that God has created is astounding. Each one unique and beautiful in its own way.
“Work, for the night is coming, Work through the morning hours;
Work while the dew is sparkling, Work ‘mid springing flowers;
Work when the day grows brighter, Under the glowing sun;
Work, for the night is coming, When man’s work is done.”
