Joel & Kathryn’s wedding was beautiful and Christ-centered. They both put a great deal of thought into the ceremony, and the whole day was a sweet testimony of their love for God.
We spent time in prayer together before heading upstairs for the ceremony – just the moms and the bridesmaids. It was a very special time!
Joel & Kathryn had asked both their dads to give a few words before the moms lit the candles.
The all-siblings wedding party sang a song – “When Love Came Down”
Lighting the unity candle – “Thy Will, O Lord”
What sweet and radiant purity Joel and Kathryn showed through their courtship and engagement. This was their first kiss, and they didn’t hold hands until they were officially man and wife. What a beautiful contrast to the world’s way of doing things, and a demonstration of Joel and Kathryn’s desire to honor the Lord and each other.
Mr. & Mrs. Joel Hryniewicz!
We were all so glad Grandmaman & Camille could come from Canada for the wedding!
The bride and groom with Dad & Mom
The growing Bennett Family!!
The wedding party went to a lovely park nearby the church for pictures. We all agreed it was a lot of fun being a wedding party!
The wedding party band played a march when Joel & Kathryn entered the reception.
We also got to serve the buffet. “By love serve one another” (Gal. 5:13)
Joel & Kathryn served the dessert which was apple pie or chocolate pudding pie; they wanted to follow Christ’s example of service as expressed in Matthew 20:28 – “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Kathryn and Carolyn made 18 apple pies with our Aunt Barb a few weeks before the wedding and then froze them.
